Years ago, we took a trip to Portland, Oregon, and stopped into a tavern whose back bar was literally a wall of bottles. We thought that was an idea worth stealing, and when we designed the Portsmouth Brewery, we got our chance, creating a big, spacious bar with a warm ambience and our signature wall of bottles. At the Brewery we are proud of our outstanding handcrafted beers and tasty food, but the thing we are proudest of is the fact that we are a gathering place for people of all descriptions and backgrounds, a public house in the truest sense of the word. We didn't plan it that way; it just sort of happened all by itself. Back in 1991, when we coined our slogan - We Serve All Types - we didn't realize how true that would become.
